Times Super Markets started as a dream over 75 years ago on the sugar plantations of Hawaii. Albert and Wallace Teruya, who were sons of Okinawan immigrants, dreamed of creating a successful business in the “land of opportunity” which Hawaii was to thousands of immigrants and their offspring. They succeeded in opening their first supermarket in 1949 and today is one of the leading supermarket operations in Hawaii. Since 1949, Times has grown to include 12 supermarket locations and also operates two Fine wine and specialty foods shops, Fujioka’s Wine Times.
In April of 2002, Times Super Markets was acquired by PAQ, Inc., which is headquartered in Stockton, California. PAQ, Inc., is a regional chain of supermarkets that include twelve Food 4 Less stores and three Rancho San Miguel stores. Under the direction of Owner and President John Quinn, Times has continued it’s growth and remains a leader in Hawaii’s Supermarket industry.
Times Supermarkets is committed to providing the very best to it’s customers:
