Whether it's a business power lunch, candlelight dinner, a quick bite on the go, or pupus after work, The Pacific Club offers unparalleled experiences at all three of its dining venues. Allow Executive Chef Eric Leterc to spoil you with his culinary expertise. He has created extensive menu selections featuring an exquisite variety of dishes that showcase his distinct culinary style. The food is eclectic with flavors that are simple, yet unique. Chef Eric takes a classic dish and gives it a modern flare. "I believe in quality ingredients," says Chef Eric. Fresh local products are always his first pick. "I believe in quality food and service. This is what makes our Club a leader in our field. We are always devoted to satisfying our members."
The oldest organization of its kind, west of the Rockies, The Pacific Club has spanned over 150 years of history. Born in an era of polished manners and strict decorum, the Club has lived to see the niceties of yesteryear fade into history and become but quaint traditions.
Founded as "The Mess" in 1851, it stood for a place of companionship, good conversation, camaraderie and memorable times. The original charter, fastidiously adhering to the wishes of the founding fathers, specifically stated the Club was conceived for the purpose of "promoting friendship and the mutual exchange of opinions among its members, and for providing a place for the reception of strangers, travelers and residents of the kingdom." And so it remains to this day. The Club's memories and the cavalcade of history are irrevocably entwined. Two Hawaiian kings and many of their cabinet officers were members and for generation after generation the Club roster has been inscribed with the names of civic, business and cultural leaders who figured prominently in the history of Hawaii, from Kingdom, to Republic, to Territory, to Statehood.
The ground upon which the present clubhouse stands is also of great historical importance. It is on this land that the Princess Kaiulani, heiress to the throne of the Kingdom of Hawaii, was born. And it is on this land that many of today's leaders in government, business, and industry meet over breakfast, lunch, or dinner to discuss the future of our beautiful island paradise.
These, and many other factors, have earned The Pacific Club the well-deserved status as one of the charter members of the Distinguished Clubs of the World. No matter which aspect of the Club its members enjoy most, it will continue to live up to the vision of its founders for years to come, offering the proud heritage and uncommon distinction that can only be found at The Pacific Club. And it is for these reasons that membership in the Club has continued to flourish for almost fifteen decades.
